Counter Magazine #3

Counter Magazine peels back the tough, taboo and beautiful topics of food. It is independently produced in Sydney and printed in Melbourne on PEFC certified paper.
#3 Bodies is a timely theme given the COVID-19 period in which we are living, and our hyper awareness of bodies — their vulnerability, the ways in which they can be restricted and their state of health. Contemporary politics, pop culture, and ancient and new knowledges have crafted 21st century conceptions of the body as situated, enculturated, connected and central to identity. As a food magazine we explore how this sensibility relates to consumption.
